CMA Artist Academy
In partnership with Whiskey Jam, CMA hosted it’s inaugural Artist Academy in October 2024. This application-based, artist development program is designed to help emerging creatives learn the skills and perspectives they need to embark on a successful, lucrative, and fulfilling journey. Selected through an annual application process, approx. 60 different up-and-coming artists are often selected to participate in a (1) one full-day of learning & development type programming. Content has included: panels with experienced Booking Agents, Management, Social Media & Streaming experts; session topics led by experts on Financial Wellness, navigating common Legal Issues, how to approach Mental Health as artists; and even Networking & Happy Hours with industry leaders & much more. Though academy programming has been known to shift, we look forward to providing real and tangible content & connections today’s young artists can walk away with & immediately impact their career success and longevity.

QUALIFICATIONS & HOW TO APPLY
- 2026 Applications are soon to open. ACTIVE/VALID CMA Members (across all Tiers) will be notified via email, should they be eligible to apply.
- While it is not required that participants of this program be CMA Members, it is highly encouraged.
- Attendees should have less than 5 years of experience & be able to commit to one full-day of in-person programming (i.e. this program takes place in person, at CMA HQ)
- The selected Academy participants will be notified in ample time to attend should they need to travel to Nashville, TN from out of state.
