THE COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATION HOSTS MEMBERSIPS EVENT FOCUSED ON COUNTRY MUSIC AND FASHION
CMA’s Ongoing MemberSIPS Programming Offers Country Music Professionals the Opportunity to Gather and Discuss Important Topics in the Music Business
The Country Music Association welcomed CMA members to its Nashville HQ on Thursday, Nov. 16 for a MemberSIPS event focused on Country Music and fashion. In partnership with the Arts and Business Council of Greater Nashville – whose mission is to leverage and unite the unique resources of the arts and business communities to create a thriving, sustainable creative culture in Nashville, the conversations explored some of the distinctive aspects of Country fashion and how music has influenced style over time.
Moderated by Charlotte Poling (Lipscomb University Department Chair, Department of Fashion), panelists Angela Stefano Zimmer (Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum Writer-Editor, Museum Services) and Cherie Kilchrist (celebrity wardrobe stylist) shared their thoughts on the impact of Country Music’s latest trends and icons on the fashion industry.
As the premier trade association supporting individuals within the Country Music industry, CMA created MemberSIPS to cater to its members’ professional development needs—offering thematic presentations, discussions and gatherings, and providing members a networking opportunity with like-minded professionals while enjoying a beverage with one another.
Members can check their inboxes for more information about next month’s MemberSIPS event or reach out directly to the CMA Membership team at [email protected].
