Second Ballot Opens Today for CMA Professional Voting Members

With anticipation building for Country Music’s Biggest Night™, the Country Music Association will announce nominees for “The 59th Annual CMA Awards” as well as CMA Broadcast Awards finalists during a livestream on CMA’s official Facebook and YouTube channel Monday, Sept. 8. The nominations announcement marks a defining point in Awards season—recognizing the artists, songwriters, musicians, and industry professionals whose work has shaped the genre over the past year and setting the stage for a weeklong celebration of the genre’s creative excellence this November in Nashville. “The 59th Annual CMA Awards” broadcasts live Wednesday, Nov. 19 on ABC and streams the following day on Hulu.
Coinciding with this morning’s announcement, the Second Ballot for “The 59th Annual CMA Awards” opens today. As part of the CMA Awards’ longstanding peer-voting tradition, this round empowers members to help shape the final nominee slate across all 12 categories. Eligible CMA Professional voting members are encouraged to cast their votes before the ballot closes Monday, Aug. 18 at 6:00 PM/CT.

More than a singular night of honors, the CMA Awards anchors a weeklong celebration of the Country Music community. Returning to Nashville this November, CMA Awards Week will bring together artists and industry professionals through a variety of events and gatherings that spotlight the people, stories, and creative spirit at the heart of the genre.
CMA Awards Week highlights include:
- Country Forward – CMA’s bi-annual day party kicks off CMA Awards Week on Sunday, Nov. 16. Details to be announced soon.
- CMA Media Remote – A two-day media hub for connecting Country Music artists with radio and digital outlets, set for Monday, Nov. 17 and Tuesday, Nov. 18 (10:00 AM – 4:00 PM daily).
- CMA Awards Red Carpet – On Wednesday, Nov. 19, media and talent from around the world will gather ahead of the live broadcast for one of the most celebrated Red Carpets in music.
- CMA Broadcast Awards Presentation – Winners in radio and broadcast will be honored during the Pre-Telecast Ceremony on Wednesday, Nov. 19, prior to the live primetime show. Winners can expect to be notified in October.
- CMA International Awards – Honorees from across the globe will be celebrated at the CMA International Reception on Wednesday, Nov. 19. Winners will be notified in late summer or early fall.
- Official CMA Awards After Party – Capping off Country Music’s Biggest Night, the official After Party delivers an immersive evening of celebration, connection, and surprise moments, featuring unforgettable live music and experiences. CMA members can purchase tickets starting Wednesday, Aug. 13.
- CMA Awards Backstage Academy – Designed exclusively for students, this immersive event includes a behind-the-scenes tour of the CMA Awards and a special panel featuring key leaders who help bring Country Music’s Biggest Night to life.
- Additional events hosted by professional rights organizations will also take place throughout the week. Details to be announced by each organization soon.
As part of CMA’s ongoing commitment to artist and crew wellbeing, All Access On-Site, an initiative from ECCHO Live, will return for a second year to provide licensed mental health professionals during CMA Awards rehearsals and show day. Following its presence at CMA Fest earlier this year, the program offers confidential, in-person support to artists and crew navigating the high-pressure demands of live production.
