National Coalition for the Homeless –

• Emergency assistance programs may help with health care, food, and temporary, transitional, or permanent housing. Many communities use a hotline or a single organization for welcoming new clients – this is often called Coordinated Entry. Look herefor local resources.

Health Care for the Homeless Information Resource Center-

• If you are homeless and have health care needs, there may be a Health Care for the Homeless program near you that can help. Health Care for the Homeless programs also provide referrals for other services such as housing, so it may be useful to contact the program nearest you to see what services are available.

ACM Lifting Lives -

• ACM Lifting Lives is the philanthropic partner of the Academy of Country Music dedicated to improving lives through the power of music. The program harnesses the strength of the Country Music community to provide aid in times of need, with a focus on health-related initiatives. Through partnerships with artists and strong ties in the music industry, ACM Lifting Lives® funds music health programs while also serving members of the music community who face unexpected hardships through its Diane Holcomb Emergency Relief Fund.
• Open to: individuals who have worked full-time for two or more years and are currently or recently employed in the Country Music industry & have either had a sudden and unforeseen emergency situation that has caused financial hardship OR are experiencing a temporary financial hardship and unable to pay for these services.

Entertainment Community Fund –

• Provides human services nationally for people who work in film, theater, television, music, opera, radio and dance. Offers a broad spectrum of programs, a calendar of workshops, support groups, online resources and emergency financial assistance to support the unique, essential needs of all who work in performing arts and entertainment.

The Haven Foundation –

• Offers interim financial assistance to freelance professionals in the arts who face crises. The Foundation’s reach is the United States, and its awards are granted with a view to helping individuals overcome temporary adversity and return to full-time work.

• The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is the agency within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services that leads public health efforts to advance the behavioral health of the nation.
  • Open to: Men, women, youth, and families living with mental, or substance issues may need treatment, case management, and discharge planning in addition to financial support to avoid or escape homelessness.
