About
CMA International Awards recognize outstanding achievements and contributions to Country Music worldwide, celebrating individuals across six categories who champion the genre and expand its global reach.
How to Nominate
All CMA Professional voting members can submit nominations. A CMA International Awards Task Force reviews the nominations and makes winner recommendations to the CMA Board of Directors, which approves the recipients.
There are six CMA International Award categories—Jo Walker Meador International Award, Rob Potts International Live Music Advancement Award, Wesley Rose International Media Achievement Award, International Country Broadcaster Award, International Artist Achievement Award, and Jeff Walker Global Country Artist Award.
Awards Criteria
CMA International Awards are divided into two categories: Career based awards and Eligibility Period based awards. The Jo Walker Meador International Award, Rob Potts International Live Music Advancement Award, and Wesley Rose International Media Achievement Award are career based honors, and the International Country Broadcaster Award, International Artist Achievement Award, and Jeff Walker Global Country Artist Award are based on achievements made during the eligibility period.
Only individuals may be selected for CMA International Awards. Companies, publications, radio stations and other groups--many of which significantly foster Country Music --are not eligible for International recognition. An International Award recipient cannot win the same category in two consecutive years.
