The CMA Broadcast Awards are among the most prestigious awards given out in the field of Country Broadcasting. The categories are established by market size based on population as ranked by Nielsen.
The CMA Broadcast Awards recognize excellence in Country broadcasting, honoring stations and personalities who make a significant impact on the genre and its listeners.
How to Nominate / Judging Process
Stations and Broadcast Personalities submit an entry to be considered for a CMA Broadcast Award. Guidelines and entry instructions are available at broadcast.CMAawards.com. A CMA membership is not required to submit.
Entries will be reviewed and evaluated online by a panel of distinguished industry and radio professionals, representing all market sizes and regions.
All balloting is tabulated by the professional services organization, Deloitte.
Awards Criteria
Each Station of the Year entry is judged on Aircheck, Community Involvement, Ratings (Only for Major, Large, and Medium Market Applicants), and Leadership and Impact Information. Each Broadcast Personality of the Year entry is judged on Aircheck, Community Involvement, Ratings (Only for Major, Large, and Medium Market Applicants), and Biographical Impact Information. Each National Broadcast Personality of the Year entry is judged on Aircheck, Leadership/Accolades, and Biographical Information.
Eligible Categories:
- Broadcast Personality of the Year and Radio Station of the Year in four market sizes: Major Market, Large Market, Medium Market and Small Market
- National Broadcast Personality of the Year in two formats: Daily and Weekly
- Syndicated, Short-Form, Hub Voice-Tracking, Digital Service Providers, and Satellite personalities with live-stream broadcasts are eligible to apply for National Broadcast Personality of the Year.
The eligibility period is from June 1, 2024 – May 31, 2025.
Timeline
- Submission Period: May 1, 2025 – June 30, 2025 (5:00PM/CT)
- CMA Broadcast Awards winners will be notified in early October 2025 and recognized at "The 59th Annual CMA Awards" ceremony in Nashville
